As I get a tiny bit closer to the end of my life, I appreciate, even more, the concept of old friends, and new. The old Girl Scout song says one is silver, the other is gold.
There is also a new stamp set out there with a sentiment about friendship. To paraphrase, it speaks of taking a long time to grow an old friend... love the thought and the set, but I don't always agree with the sentiment.
I have friends in this fabulous community who I've only known briefly, who visit me, and I visit them almost daily... you are all golden to me.
This card, while made for the CASology Week 130 challenge, is for each and every one of you, my darling family of new friends:
The final verse of the song:
Across the land Across the sea Friends forever
We will always be.
We will always be.
Wow!!! You know I should just start every comment for you with a WOW... this is stunning and elegant!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love this (As well as the one you made with the negative from the hearts!) So creative and pretty!
ReplyDeleteSaw the second before the first, that is patience! Love xoxo

ReplyDeleteOh my. did you just make flowers out of hearts? Really? This is just the sweetest thing in forever. Love them, and the sentiment too. Thanks so much for playing (again) at CASology this week. It's always a pleasure to see your projects in our gallery.

Oh wow this is gorgeous Michele, what an amazing use of die cuts. Thank you so much for joining us this week at CASology. You should also link your card up at the Uniko Studio Challenge, the theme is 'love and friendship'
ReplyDeleteElegant indeed Michele! Beautiful white space. Love that you have paired this up with a song and the across in the song is a wonderful association/compliment with the crossed stalks :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely and clever card friend!
Oooh! LOVE this one too!! Awesome! You are enabling me again. LOL!
ReplyDeleteThese didn't come up in my email so I've been going back and forth in my blogger list to see what came first - the negative or positive. I would say positively (just a little pun there) that I can't believe you glued on all those little hearts. But I know the secret. And it comes in the shape of card number two. You are so clever my dear, and I love both of them equally.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Michele ... both your stunning card and your words ... the feeling's mutual, my friend! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteThese are some pretty amazing, beautiful flowers!! I love your style - you just seem to have a gift for adding or NOT adding just what s needed to your cards!! I am always in utter awe at the gorgeousness that you create!!! I would love to be one of those friends you speak of - I visit often!!
