CASology: Week 128: Date

WARNING: sappy alert!!

Yep  - getting sappy with CASology's Date theme today!  I love my husband... now, I know you ALL love yours too... but how often do we tell people this?

I found the man of my dreams when I wasn't looking.  He didn't sweep me off my feet, in fact, he [says] he doesn't dance [until no one is looking].  I already had my children when we met, and wasn't able to have more... he said "you gave me three kids, and I never had to change one diaper!"  He's 15 years younger than I, and still thinks I'm beautiful... even if there's LOTS more of me to love!  He's a terrific Grampy... and I don't miss his hair, at all.

On New Year's Eve we had our 24th first date, and in May, we'll celebrate our 20th anniversary... it truly will be a "paint the town" kind of date...

For CASology, and [another] for the Tom-file:

That die came home with me from Oshawa, Ontario!  The design paper is from the SSS January kit. The sentiment is one from PTI.
Inside:

"... yes, that moment when the stars aligned and I realized you were the one... I re-live it with every kiss."

Now, get on those roof-tops... I'm listening!!!

  13. Amazing, wonderful, stunning! I do not know how you did the background, but the whole card is a mystery. World suspended in the stars. Kind of that is so, but did not we realize of this for everyday tasks. Thank you for showing what is hidden from our eyes.
    Regards,

  22. I'm copying Amy....awwwwwwwwwwwww, was a wonderful, soppy post. How fabulous that after 24 years your still so much in love and wanting to tell the world. Love your card too, isn't that die awesome and really like not all of the window holes are pushed out, gives it a lived in look. So happy for you two, nice to know there is still lots of love in the world somewhere!!

  23. Hello Michelle - I'm back, first to re-read your awesome love story (for the 15th time, I reckon! So joyful) and to THANK YOU for your earlier card featuring the paint chip. Based on your brilliance, I headed to the neighbourhood RONA store and brought home a stack of paint-chips, which I used on a card entered into MUSE! You're a genius, dear friend...a genius. And a gem!!

  24. Beautiful story and equally wonderful card--both such great ways to share the news of your love! Hubby sounds like a keeper and you are very lucky. I'm sure he's just a lucky to have found you. Yeah for finding the perfect mate regardless of when you meet!

  26. My goodness what a lovely love story. You certainly have a winner, as do I. Twenty years, fifty years, in the end we all end up with no hair, or gray hair and sometimes no more slim waistline. And I certainly agree that you will find love when you are not looking for it. Congratulations!
