I lost someone very dear to me on New Year's Day. My cousin Aileen brought such light to my life, for a very short time. I only just found her three years ago while researching my family tree. We bonded immediately during hours-long phone chats, and one memorable sleep-over. I am so grateful for knowing her.
For CASology: Light, and to Aileen:
... be seeing you.
Michele, I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your cousin. It sounds like you were lights in each others' lives for the time you knew each other. What a blessing! Your card is a serene, comforting reminder that life is precious. There is a verse in a Christmas song that states, "Light and life to all, He brings, risen with healing in his wings..." your card brought that to mind. Thank you for sharing with us at CASology...keeping you in my thoughts and prayers today.
ReplyDeleteMichele, I'm so sorry to hear about your dear Aileen. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Your card in tribute to her is beautiful. xoxo
ReplyDeleteMichele, my deepest condolences for the loss of your cousin, Aileen. I know what you are going through with my dad's recent passing, so my heart weeps for you and with you. I've received ever so many notes of support, compassion and warmth from the special people in this community, and though they may not take away the hurt or pain, they definitely buoy my spirits. I'm reaching out to let you know: you are not alone. Sending prayers and hugs your way, and a strong pair of shoulders for you to lean on for support. Contact me any time, any way should you want to, or need to. I am here. Take some solace in knowing that she is with you...surrounding you with her light. I believe, as I do with my dad, that another star appeared in the sky...Your card: beautiful, heart-touching, infused with love...
ReplyDeleteHugs, my friend...many hugs...the kind that you can wrap yourself in...
