CAS(E) This Sketch #103

It has been nearly thirty years since I lost my dad... seems like yesterday really.  I cannot think of Christmas without including him in my thoughts.  He was that kind of dad - you all know what I mean, right?  I'm remembering the hand-made Barbie Swiss Chalet right now, Daddy.

Today, I celebrate Tom's dad, too.  He helped us build our house, and renovate the last one. He's one in a million.

For CTS#103 and those of you lucky enough to still have yours around, Merry Christmas!

Clearly Besotted tree and Joy stamps ; MFT lowercase alphas in SU red.

Lovely sketch, Sam!

  2. Dad's are something special, aren't they just?! My dad just turned 85 and still drives from northern Wisconsin to South Dakota to visit friends! He's pretty darn amazing. (mom passed almost 35 years ago...) Your card for your fil is sweet, and I'm sure he'll love it. Love how the gray panel makes the red and green pop. It's really lovely. Christmas blessings, my friend. Bev

  4. I came close to losing my DAD this year to a stroke, and yes, he means even more to me. He is also in his 80's. My (grown) children do not have a relationship with their father--sad, but it is his fault for choices made. My son's father in law is an awesome Godly man so I am glad he is there for my son. Your card is great and I guess it provoked some memories here.
    Thanks for sharing your cards.

  5. Thinking of you Michele. I lost my dad nine years ago. And he was awesome. Still wish I could hold his hand. Love your card for your fabulous father-in-law. I too am blessed with an amazing FIL.

  7. Awww, what beautiful memories you have of your dad Michele! I never knew my dad and my step father was only 10 years older than me, so I always felt awkward. I am envious, but in a good way, of those who had great parents. So I am loving your beautiful card for the dad's you had in your life, meaning your dad and your DIL. You are blessed my friend. Hugs, Brenda

  10. What a beautiful tribute to your Dad and Tom's, Michele. I'm sorry you lost yours so long ago. I still get a kick out of mine at 98 1/2. He's aiming for 100 and he just may make it.
