As it was for many of you, yesterday was a very hard day for me and Tom. We're having a great deal of difficulty believing the results.*
I was very blessed to have the company of my friend Marcia to help get me through the day - thanks my friend. More about our playday soon... I promise we did have a good amount of playtime, too.
Today, I got back on that crafty horse and have a few great challenges to thank for that. I made one card to fit both challenges - it's about all I had in me.

In this closeup, I've attempted to bring your attention to the 'stitched' details - I don't think I have used a die more than that old MFT Stitched Strip!
Another of those sentiments from my stash - I'm so
happy I prepared so many as they've come in very handy. This one
is from Pinkfresh Studio's Basic Banners: Christmas and the coordinating die
that cuts them ALL in one go.
I hope I find my smile again... 'til then I thank you for your visit - it will do my heart good.

I think over here we are feeling nearly as shocked as you are. It is so hard to believe and get your head around, but there is always card making and creating to take us to a happier place. Your card is so pretty. Those papers work really well together xx
Card making has saved me through multiple hard times--and, yes, yesterday was hard. Your poinsettia is stunning--that Altenew die is my favorite holiday die, and the blue background paper is gorgeous! Hang in there, we'll all have work to do in the next few years.
Your card is so elegantly beautiful, gorgeous papers for both the background and Poinsettia! As for the other, I am totally shocked and feel we are in for a scary ride, and how did so many states go red, I just don't believe it! there I said it, now I probably have eggs thrown at me.
Hang in there, Michele and always remember that God will see us through everything. In the mean time, you've created one pretty card to add to our JUGs gallery! You've reminded me that I need to get that poinsettia die out and show it a little love. I don't think I used it last year. Your starry version is marvelous!

This is a wonderful card and I love the non-traditional colours you've used. And yes, even from the other side of the world, we were in a state of shock that this could happen - let alone did happen. I bought this Altenew die a few years ago due to your influence and now I see that I need pattern paper too! It's one of my favorite dies. Wednesday morning on the road returning from a wonderful get together with two other Harris voting couples that I've known since first grade was hard. I didn't hardly speak to Jim for the first few hours.
I'm still grieving too Michele, and am sooooo glad we had yesterday to spend together and even share a few laughs amidst all the unbelief! But we're tough cookies and we'll get through this with those that believe as we do and of course our shared love of card making! And your card is absolutely STUNNING in the blues and gold! I haven't had my Altenew Poinsettia out yet this year either and need to get crackin! Hang in there my friend...love ya!! Hugs. :0)

Ooh, this is a beautiful reminder that I need to get my die out. Actually I've been thinking about it and others that you caused me to buy, my friend. I'm still in shock and trying to focus on the good around me. I'm glad Marcia could spend the day with you and that I was there in thought. We'll get through this together, my friend. XOXO
