Color Hues #97

Another opportunity arose to 'play' while creating today!  Color Hues #97: Olive and Mustard worked beautifully together with my Penny Black friends:

I just couldn't get these Wellies [from PB Christmas Fun] out of my head when I thought Olive!  and a bit of Mustard worked its charm for his little feathered friend.  A gift inside with Christmas wrapping paper that I'd buy in a heartbeat!  I'd bet that candy cane is butterscotch - certainly NOT mustard flavored! ewwww. lol

I found a fitting sentiment among those in the MFT Toasty Greetings set, the postage panel from WF and also that lovely snowflake cover.  It all came together so quickly when I found this big snowflake in my snippets!

Happy that you stopped by!  See you again soon!

You knocked these colors out of the park, my friend! My brother had boots like this when we were growing up. The pup and bird are adorable and the background is FANTASTIC!

Aww, so cute Michele, those olive wellies are perfect and look just like the ones sitting by my back door, less the sheep poo! Thanks for playing with the current Color Hues duo. :)

Great use of the colors on this wonderful holiday card, Michele. Yep, butterscotch, not mustard. Your watercoloring looks fantastic and I always love seeing what you select to use for your background. It adds such lovely texture and interest!

This is so odd. I commented on this card yesterday and it seems the internet ate it! I love the way you've used our Color Hues combo this round. Those wellies are the cutest, and remind me of a White Elephant Gift exchange many years ago, when a friend received wellies much like these. The cute pup and birdie are delightful, and your design is great! Thanks for sharing with us at Color Hues.

I do love mustard but NOT in candy canes. Butterscotch is definitely better. LOL!! This is adorable. I love how you took a holiday scene and gave it a twist with my color choices. Thanks so much for playing with me at Color Hues my friend.

Your blog made me chuckle this morning and as much as I love Mustard, definitely not candy kind. Your card is just darling and I think your direction of Wellies for the colors was very creative. I hope you are having a lovely Fall up there and thanks for playing at Color Hues.

Those wellies were the perfect choice for the olive hue, and touches of mustard, too! Trying to imagine a mustard flavored candy cane...maybe wasabi?? > * <

Olive and mustard sounds like condiments and am just imagining them on my plate with the butterscotch for dessert. Lovely cute card coloured to perfection with great texture.
