Not only do I love our inspiration this week, those words! How true! Perhaps you are lucky enough to still have your Mom? I'm so happy for you, truly! I have been a mother-less child for 25 years, and I still miss you every day, Mama!
Tom's mom is still with us, so today, I will share the card I made for her based on Inspired By #173 and hope she will like it - believe me, if Tom delivers it? she'll be happy! wink.
I pulled out these pretty Copic colors, and planted some pretty Stamplorations Bloomfully: Wonderful posies, in a custom pot - it's amazing what one can do with dies, isn't it?
Such a beautiful bouquet, my friend! Tom's mother will love it, I'm sure, and hopefully can have a visit from both of you. Clever vase!
ReplyDeleteThis is so sweet.....the pocket, the embossing, those wonderful letters and the FLOWERS! You've outdone yourself!!! I am going to have to check out the Circles All Over plate..I LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteYour the lady in my life that impacts me. So you could have made this card for you if you changed the sentiment. My Mom has been gone for many, many years, as well. She would have loved this beautiful, textural card so much. Those soft colors are so lovely together.
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely beautiful, I love those soft colours, perfect. You saying how long it is since your Mum died has just prompted me to check how long it it is since mine died and I am shocked to discover that it will be 32 years in September. I was 33 when she died so it won't be long before I have lived more years without her than with her. That's a bit sad, I will quickly change the subject and say I love the texture on your vase xx
ReplyDeleteYou've packed a whole lot of pretty into that pot! Tom's mom is sure to love those delightful blooms... I do!
ReplyDeleteThis card is just so beautiful Michelle. I’ve seen this alphabet die for the first time in your card. Now you made me want to buy it.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully done Michele.
ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous! And I'm sure Tom's mother will love it. I am lucky enough to still have both parents living and looking forward to catching up with them on Sunday.
ReplyDeleteSooo very pretty my friend!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful bouquet, and a custom pot indeed! Love your choice of colors and that wonderfully textured bowl of beauties
ReplyDeleteFantastic in every way, Michele. So pretty, so visually interesting (Ms Queen of making that so), so wonderful. Thank you for the beautiful thoughts. I wish YOU a Happy Mother's Day! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine anyone not liking a card like this Michele, so I'm sure Tom's mom will love it...especially knowing YOU made it and Tom delivering it! Lovely, lovely card my friend!! Hugs. (P.S. Are the sardine's on their way yet?????) :0)
ReplyDeleteUh oh. I think I need that embossing folder. It adds wonderful texture to your pot of whimsical flowers, Michele.
ReplyDeleteThis is GORGEOUS!! I love all the texture and the stunning way you used that Nested Dome die. NEVER would have thought to use it for a pot!!! Amazing design!
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day to you!!!! Hope you are spoiled rotten!
This is so pretty, Michele! Tom's mom will love the card. The IB inspired colors of the flowers are so pretty, and I love your custom pot and the circle pierced texture to the back panel!
ReplyDeleteHideko xx
This is the most beautiful card Michele and I'm sure Tom's mother would appreciate it whether Tom delivered it or not! I have been motherless for 58 years and it's not ideal. But I have a wonderful friend who is pretty much the same age as my mother would have been, and I always think of her as being my surrogate mum. She gets many cards telling her how much I appreciate her! Vicky x
ReplyDeleteSheesh! How could you not love this... It's gorgeous! I love the pocket full of posies.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully done! So many amazing details!
ReplyDeleteStill lovin' this card!
ReplyDeleteI bet Tom's Mum loved the card and of course, hopefully his visit x. Pocket full of pretty flowers and the prettiest of card Michele x.
ReplyDeleteWhat I love most about this card is all the gorgeous texture! Beautiful colors too, and that alpha is like icing on the cake. Sweet!
ReplyDeleteA pocketful of lovely blooms for sure! This is my first Mother's Day without my mom - and I am an old lady - I realize how fortunate I have been! Also managed a getaway weekend with my daughter for Mother's Day - first outing in 15 months!
ReplyDeleteLove your pocket full of happiness :) !!!
ReplyDeleteI love how you play with texture, Michele...it's always subtle, yet so impactful! Not to mention your flawless Copic coloring...Love these pretty alphas and darling blooms, too! xx
