Imagine my joy when Jenny asked if I'd like to be a guest designer at CAS Mix Up in May! YES! I would, I would! lol When I was told it was a stencil challenge, I was a wee bit apprehensive - oh I have plenty of stencils! I just don't use them very often. But, here is the clincher... RAINBOW!!! Susan is our host with the most, and she has combined that rainbow with ink blending through a stencil!
How could I say no to that fun?! So I did a little search through my stash, and yes, I found one from Flora & Fauna that hadn't been used: Leaf Stencil. Then pulled out these Distress Oxides:

I count you twice, too. This card...whatever can I say...I am totally in love with it. All the color juxtaposed with the texture just makes my heart happy. Meticulous construction just adds to it's loveliness.

ReplyDeleteOh how I love this. Congratulations on your GD gig. I love that stencil, and the rainbow treatment is fabulous with it. I love the way the lines in the die work with the lines in the stencil design. Fabulous.

I don't use my stencils as often as I should, either, tsk tsk, but I always enjoy them when the time comes. You do make the most fabulous cards and I'm sure glad you're our guest designer this month!

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful rainbow leaf card! The stenciled panel with the hemstitched frame is fabulous, and the white Magical Flower is so pretty. Great style match of the stencil with the die-cut flower. The fun enamel dots and the wonderful sentiment are perfect to complete this beautiful card!
