Alright - we all know I might have a problem - never did I imagine it would include Poinsettias! Just when I was having a playful day with my newest Altenew 3D Poinsettia dies, along comes an email from Altenew for a new Creativity Inspired contest! What have I got to lose? SO I'm getting WILD with Washi!
Here's my card:
Here's how it began: with a wide roll of their gorgeous Painted Fantasy floral washi, adhered to 80# cardstock, then die cut with the Poinsettia dies.
After arranging the layers, my Poinsettia was adhered to a thin frame of Woodgrain Bark cardstock, then onto my card base - made from Spicy Yogurt cardstock that has been debossed with another favorite:
Dotted Swirls cover plate. Here's a closeup:
A few Altenew enamel dots, and Bob's your Uncle!
OH! that sweet little sentiment is from another Altenew Poinsettia - you'll see more
of that on November 1st - wink!
That's it for me - wish me luck! and thank you for stopping by!

Hello GORGEOUS!!! Wow, did that Washi (and you of course!) ever make one incredible poinsettia!
Wow! that worked well for a wonderful flower! I see we both liked the Dotted Swirls cp today! A beautiful card!!!
Absolutely STUNNING washi tape card!!!
ooh I just about had a heart attack when I read that the yogurt cardstock is no longer available... I was thinking, well it is quite similar to the Moonrock... but when I checked YAY! it's still there, it's just called Spicy Yogurt, phew! it's just out of stock at the moment, hopefully https://altenew.com/products/spicy-yogurt-10-sheets-set
And I did gasp when I saw your card, it's divine my friend, you certainly got 'wild'!

Good heavens, there is no limit to your creativity, girl! Those blooms are fabulous! I can barely manage narrow washi, but that wide washi is another whole animal. GORGEOUS!
You've already won, even if you don't win because this is stunning! Oh my goodness, Michele! Elegant and beautiful. What a lovely artistic poinsettia. So much texture and loveliness! Thanks so much for sharing!
From a Poinsettia aficionado-Spectacular!
Wow! I never would have thought to die cut from Washi tape. Thanks for the wonderful inspiration and good luck! It looks like a winner to me!
This is gorgeous. I haven't taken the plunge into their washi and you're not helping. LOL!
If this doesn't win, I'm going to demand a recount. This is just absolutely gorgeous not to mention a genius idea. You, my friend, are a cardmaking star.
Fabulous!!!!
Well, I'm looking at a winner on my screen! Beautiful choice of Washi for the Poinsettia and I love how you added the black frame and embossed background! Super gorgeous card, Michele!!!
This is one truly amazing card. It just has to be a winner xx
With gorgeousness and creativity like this, you don't need luck, Michele. It's a winner in my book.
This gets my vote for sure! You had me at Bob's your uncle.....
This is just incredibly gorgeous, Michele. That washi is to die for (pun intended), and that glorious flower looks amazing on the dotted background. Love the frame and the little sentiment. FABULOSO!
Oh yes!! What a beauty! I don't own any washi like that but boy it looks amazing!
How creative you are, Michele! Who would think of making a poinsettia using floral pattern washi tape!! The debossed background, the dark frame, and the enamel dot embellishments are all there to highlight the beauty of the flower! Gorgeous card!
Hideko xx
When I first saw this poinsettia, I was wondering how in the world you got that design on the flower! Then I read about the washi, oh my word, that washi is stunning! It makes a beautiful poinsettia flower for sure. I love the whole design of this card, from the "wood" frame, to the embossing background. So stunning to say the least! Loving the poinsettia die, love that it shows all the veins of the flower. Again, stunning! Hugs, Brenda
Well, this is a true beauty! I can't get over how gorgeous the washi and poinsettia pairing is! You continue to amaze, my friend! xoxo
Love this!! I would have never guessed those beautiful colors came from washi tape.
