A little side story must be told here today. Many of you know that I've been making cards for years … I know many of you that have, too. But have you made a card that was a favorite? I have, and had saved it for many years … until this Christmas! I decided I really wanted to recreate it, and will share this rendition with CAS Christmas today! [my apologies for not having a photo of that card!] [read to the bottom! I found it!]
This time my Star is from The Ton, add the perfect sentiment from Unity, and that little tree tip is a circa 2013 set from Clearly Besotted - and just happens to be what I used on that favorite card!!
Who among you has a star on the top of your Christmas tree?
It was always the very last ornament on my parents' tree!
I'm having so much fun with all of this play time!! Thanks for stopping in today!

Of course there's a star atop my tree...but it is very old and very well-loved (read dilapidated). Yours is much more beautiful and sticking it on the pine bough makes this card perfect.
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL Michele and yes, we do have a star on top of our tree!! :0)
What a great take on the theme! Jo x
How clever and wonderful Michele!
What a sweet card! I love it!
This is CAS elegance Michele, just beautiful! Love that little tree tip and all of the golden speckles. Yes, we have a star on top of our tree...and it's gold!! It's the last item to be added as well. That's Shawn's job ;)
Gorgeous shiny gold star to adorn the tip top of your evergreen tree. TFS your gorgeous card and your story, my friend. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Hugs..Nancy
I can see why this is your favourite Christmas card Michele. This is AMAZING! LOVE the design ... very creative and fun. A beautiful mix of stamps. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Christmas! xx
Oh Michele, this is absolutely gorgeous. Love all the golden shimmer and shine. I can see why it's a favorite, for sure. We have a star on the top of our tree, but it goes on first with the lights. Thank you for sharing this beautiful card. Hugs!
Looks like we're both creating oldies, Michele, although mine wasn't the card but the wreath that inspired it. Love that little tree that the star is topping.
Both so gorgeous!!
Both cards are absolutely gorgeous, Michele! I love your gold star so much...and yes, the star is the last ornament on our tree, so it's perfect :)
Beautiful Star Michelle, love the spray of sparkle flying off the edges and the sprig from the tree is perfect. Great CASE of your earlier card. Thanks for sharing it with CAS Christmas :)
Beautiful cards, and I can see why it was a favorite!
Uberly (that is a word I think) reative Michele!! BOTH cards are so fresh and pretty!!
Oh my, I've lost my words after reading this post, Michele!
I'm soooo honored to receive one of your favorite cards. (2014 version) I'll send you a separate message about the card.
Your 2019 version has a fantastic design, just showing the tip of the tree and the gold star. And you still have the Michael's gold textured paper!
Hideko xx
Both of these cards are fantastic, Michele! The first card is definitely a keeper! The new card is a keeper too with that shiny star that sparkles and glows in gold! Love that branch for the tree top! We have a star atop our Christmas tree too and I put it on first so I don't knock everything off when I reach to put it up there.
Thank you for the beautiful, peaceful Christmas card. xoxo
Oops, and thank you for sharing this with us at CAS Christmas!
Both cards are beautiful, Michele. The new one sitting on top of the tree is so creative and fun. Thank you for joining us at CAS Christmas Star challenge. x
Both are beautiful, Michele! There's nothing quite as lovely as a star for Christmas!
Wow, both cards are both so great! How fun that you turned an old favorite into a new fave! Beautiful!
Me? We do an angel topper, it even has its own, personally wrapped box with removable box top! ;0)
I can understand why that original card is a favourite, Michele ... it's gorgeous! IMHO, you outdid even yourself with the new one ... what a texture-y, shimmery, striking beauty ... love it! Christmas tree ... for us it was always an angel on the top! Hugs, Anita :)
That star on top of the tree branch is so clever! Brilliant as always!
