I just couldn't resist this darling set from Waffle Flower Crafts featuring a Station Wagon reminiscent of one of the 12 of the biggest that Ford had to offer that my parents owned to carry their precious cargo! A Limo may have been the way to go!
Using my DYMO label maker for that custom sentiment was a fun way to go! Thanks @jaebersole =]
I had to do a little surgery to remove the darling little animals that are original to the Limo stamp... shown here:
Stamping nine of these Hello littles, then coloring them each a bit differently, made it easy to represent the six girls, and three boys of my clan!

Eeep! So cute! And I see you up there with the ponytail--you little rebel!
ReplyDeleteGreat fun! Jo x
ReplyDeleteWhat a joyful clan it looks like.
ReplyDeleteThis is SO cute! What a fun, happy card! That dynamo tape is adorable! And I am SURE the Waltons had their share of ups and downs too!
ReplyDeleteI think we had downs, ups and arounds, isn't that makes us family and helps us grow. Love the card although I am a little concerned about the 'altered' animals, I hope it wasn't too painful lol.

ReplyDeleteOh goodness...we are most definitely not the Waltons over here! Such a fabulous adorable card!!
ReplyDeleteThis is just TOO fun!
ReplyDeleteThere was a family in my neighborhood, Green Acres, that had 5 girls and another family with 4..they each had those large station wagons like in your card. The most we ever packed into one wagon, heading to the roller rink, was 12! no seat belt laws back then;) I guess they inspired me to have a large brood of my own! With just my 2 brothers we would go around three times for the 'GOODNIGHTS' to pretend we were the Waltons, ha! Thanks for the memories:))
Ahh Michele you do bring back memories. For us it was seven in the VW with a trailer on behind, oh my goodness it was a squash. Mum and dad in the front with me sitting on a pillow on the handbrake. My two older brothers and older sister in the back pinching and punching each other and my smallest sister in the luggage section of the VW yep and don't talk all the way as dad ruled with an iron.....
ReplyDeleteBut I do remember the Waltons, ohh they were such happy families weren't they... bit sickly really. We all need real life so we can grow up perfect like we are hey sweetie. Love love your card its brilliant.
Love this card! So very fun and happy. I adore how you fit you and all your siblings in the wagon. But where are your parents?! You pushed them right out, didn't you? LOL We had 6 kids in my family and a Dodge van. Oh the adventures that were had in the vehicle. Thanks for prompting some fun memories. Your card is fantastic and definitely brings a sweet smile. :)
ReplyDeleteTotally fun card......and totally fun traveling with that crew I bet! I can't relate.....sigh.....there was just me and I sat quietly in the middle of the front seat (back in the day of bench seats) between my parents!
ReplyDeleteWell "GOOD NIGHT" John Boy...how stinkin' CUTE is this!! I know that's you on the top of that pyramid...am I right? Oh golly, I might have to borrow this set to make some of these for you know who's large group of siblings!! LOVE THIS TO BITS!
ReplyDelete*** I deleted this and moved it down here, I saw in your email to me it said bite...not night LOL!!!
It ended up working out perfectly to recreate your clan, Michele. Great job of individualizing the little people.
ReplyDeleteWhat a special card! The little people are so cute and look so happy! Here is one more vote for that you are on the top :)!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, this is such a FUN card, Michele! Beautiful coloring and I love that you used your DYMO to create your sentiment...very cool idea! I also love how you paired 2 different sets to get LOTS of kids to wave at us...just like IRL!
ReplyDeleteHahaha ... so fun and downright cute, Michele ... love how each of those littles seems to have his or her own personality! I think even The Waltons had their ups and downs (if I remember well enough that far back!!). Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteLove the whole gang! You've done an awesome job with all these adorable littles. Each one is so very CUTE! However, the animal lover in me is a little concerned about their condition after surgery!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so late visiting but wanted to pop by and say what a fun card you created! When I was growing up, we used to go for trips in a blue VW Kombi van. Good times.
