I couldn't resist it ... twice!
You'll have to forgive me for my seriously silly sense of humor this time. I'm not usually political, nor am I against hunting to put food on the table, but this guy? He just wanted to be heard...
" . . . and your rifles empty! Merry Moose-mas!"
Now, just to let you know that I was truly inspired by the photo and not having a rant ...
As I've already posted my Christmas cards, these are just going into cold storage for next year - score!
=] Michele
Supplies:
card 1: The Cat's Pajamas deer; Avery Elle sentiment, and stockings, Copic colored; a gorgeous wood-grain paper from a friend.
card 2: Ellen Hutson stag die; and various snowflakes... and real wood paper from the same fantastic friend xoxo
Oh my gosh these are beyond cute.
ReplyDeleteHilarious Michele! These are both fabulous takes on the inspiration and cold storage sounds like you are already started for next year, you go GF!
ReplyDeleteTwo amazingly cute cards Michele! The first one cracked me up! Way to get a jump on next year... Over achiever! 😆
ReplyDeleteThese are both fantastic. Perfect interpretation of the cue photo. Thanks so much for playing along at Time Out.
ReplyDeleteYou've already posted your cards? Oh, I am soooooooo behind! I really love your Christmas stockings, Michele...and hanging from those fun antlers, makes this the perfect card...Awesome sentiment, too! I also love how you created your 2nd card! The dark woodgrain panels look amazing with the snowflakes and white Stag...WOW!

ReplyDeleteI can see why the photo so inspires you - great colours & possibilities with this challenge. You've done an amazing job with it, natch! If I had to pick a fave, it would be your 2nd wonderful creation, but your 1st one is so FUN.
ReplyDeleteHahaha ... what a riot, Michele ... so much fun ... those sweet stockings dangling from the antlers are fantastic ... clever and humourous as ever! Those real wood panels (went in for a close look!) are fantastic ... love that you've added the pops of colour as well as the crisp white! Yay for starting next year's cards ... I'm still going on this year's!! Delighted to have you playing along with us at Time Out, my friend! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteOkay, first off, I have to say I'm so envious that you are starting on NEXT year's Christmas cards. Happy for you to be so on the ball! Secondly, that first card is beyond adorable. I adore every detail about it, especially your sense of humor. So cute. The second card is lovely and wonderful for a recipient who is into hunting and mounting their prize. I actually know a family for whom this would be a perfect holiday card. They came to mind immediately. Beautiful work. Thanks for the giggle, too.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE these cards, Michele!! The first one is so funny and the second one just warms my heart! Go YOU for starting on next year's Christmas cards. I am doing the same thing! Why not, right?!!! ♥♥♥
ReplyDeleteMuch to applaud and smile over here: your two fabulous cards (the first is a riot!); the completion of your messages-and-mailing mission (nary a one sent from me yet! EEK!); the start of next year's stash (I really ought to make Christmas cards year round). Weekend at mom's: off to watch Ms. T's dance lessons, then to West Edmonton Mall, where the kids, my husband and brother will enjoy the waterpark while my sister-in-law and I will window shop, chat and sip coffee!
ReplyDeleteHugs~c
There is such contrast in the photo inspiration and you managed to capture it all, Michele. The first card is so whimsical and captures your sense of humor. The second card is rustic with a touch of merry. Fantastic job on both.
