I'm back as the designer at CAS[E] this Sketch this week ... I know, right?! Who knew I could do it?!
I created this little card with a very old, very well loved die from Reverse Confetti ... that I do NOT play cards with often enough! You may detect a bit of my humor, if you read between the 'tears' ... and if you know the song? I hope you sing [and play] along!
For CTS #207:
I remember the song and this is a super and creative take on the sketch x
ReplyDeleteGreat fun papers Michele! (I think I'm still 'no reply' but still haven't worked it out, so so computer illiterate).
ReplyDeleteThis is fabulous. I think I recognize those papers, too. Love the tears.
ReplyDeleteFabulous take on the sketch, Michele!
ReplyDeleteA little Leslie Gore if memory serves..... Those tears are a great idea; they work so well for this sketch. And what a punny birthday card, too. You're always so clever! Fun!! Bev
ReplyDeleteI KNEW you could do it ;) And yes you can cry if you want to, cry if you want to LOL!! This is clever and cute Michele!
ReplyDeleteWoohoo! You made an awesome sketch (and card!), my friend!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't wait to see your card up close, because I thought they were CHICKENS running amok. Please don't be upset and excuse this ol' gal with very bad eyesight and a wild imagination! Love your take on your fabulous sketch!
ReplyDeleteOh you serial earwormer you!!! lol. Now that darned song will be in my head. Love those paisley-esque shapes and all the color on white. Nicely done.
ReplyDeleteI knew you could do it Michele!!! There's nothing you can't do! And I am loving this card and the song. lol Now that song will be playing through my head the rest of the day. lol Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteHey Michele, congrats on being this week's designer! And hahaha, I'm dying over here, what a clever and funny card! I totally get it!! Love seeing something different like this : )
ReplyDeleteI hate to tell you what I first saw when I looked at your card, Michele, but I'll cry if I want to because that's what I do when I laugh too hard.
ReplyDeleteI could have sworn I left love here yesterday for this fabulous card...must have gotten distracted :)
ReplyDeleteI love the patterned papers you chose for these teardrops! Wish I knew the song, though...I know you always think of clever ways to include meaning on your cards...So pretty, Michele!
Oh, I thought they were birds too! I wasn't going to say anything so you wouldn't think I was crazy but Donna's comment made me feel better! Those images below the teardrops look so much like they belong on a bird!!
ReplyDeleteLove this beautiful paisley card...so very pretty!
ReplyDeleteI have this die-cut ....thanks so much for inspiration !
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card ideas!
Oh this is so FUN!!! LOVE how you used that die!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful CAS card and a fabulous sketch! The paisley patterned die-cuts look wonderful.
ReplyDeleteOh, my, Michele, I had to LOL at Donna's comment!!!!! ...me, too, had seen chickens running around when I had a first look!!!!!! LOL!!!! Hope you're not upset - that was only for a split sec (the chickens), and then I saw your clever self in it!!!! And yes, I loved that song in my young days when I was at varsity (I actually still love it!!!!) Love, love, LOVE the fun papers you used - how wonderful that 'Happy Birthday' banner fits, hey!!!! So cute, my friend, and a GREAT sketch (you did it!!!) - hope to have time to play along this week!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHugz
Yep... other Donna saw what I thought initially. And yes, song popped straight into my head...
ReplyDelete'It's my party and I'll cry if I want to'...
Can't actually remember why they were crying though!!!
Oh Michele, I wish I had an ounce of your cleverness and creativity! What a fun, bright and cheerful card. I got the reference right away. I also read some of the comments and wondered what the ladies were talking about. So I looked again and I get it. Hey you got clever on so many levels! You are fabulous and so is your card! :) Hugs!
